I'm trying to get a t1 connection soon and I was wondering if theres anyway the blackberry could connect to that server and I could use the internet on my blackberry without having a plan... or being with any phone company. Or is there anyway I could make my own server to connect to...

If your BB has wifi and you had a wifi setup off your T1 connection then I'd think you could use that internet connection. Otherwise, dont think there is a way without using your providers data plan.

You still have to run a data plan on the BB.

If you are investing in a T1 connection, you will have plenty of bandwidth to work with.

    1.536 Mbit/s of usable traffic...
If you use a Wifi connection, your typical connection will be 48 Mbit/s, plenty fast for any purposes.

Nothing beat Google for confidance testing. If it does not respond, you still have a configuration problem.

The problem with using wifi is that it's only available when you are near your network. Go shopping, friends house, even just walk away from you house a little and you'll loose your connection.
