I sync a lot more than I actually back up. But I try to back up at least once a week. Sometimes more often if I'd done a lot of OTA downloads

I don't back up as often as I should, but I use it mostly for email and could get that from the exchange if I needed to.

When I first got my Curve there was a BB outage. I thought I had lost all of the time setting up it up, called AT&T and they didn't know that there was an outage either, they sent me a new blackberry. If it was lost stolen etc, I would have to say that I would have to go out and buy another one in a day or so. Once you go Blackberry you just can't go back. :-)

Second thing I do when I get home (1st is to give my wife a kiss and hug and tell her I missed her all day), I perform a back up and synchronization with my Outlook.

That way, if something happens, I have a backup.

Being I do Tech Support for Data devices myself - I am a TRUE believer in backing up your PDA/Blackberry. I have had to help some pretty upset users thru the tears and anger issues when their device kicks the bucket and there data is lost... thankfully most of those have been *cough* Win based...

No doubt about it...I would be totally bummed if I lost my BB and ticked if it were stolen. I found the Blackberry Tracker website and downloaded it in case I ever did leave it somewhere. However, the app sucked my battery life, so I got rid of it!

If there is an outage it wouldn't exactly be the end of the world, but it would be extremely inconvenient. That would mean I would have to actually put my pearl down and the idea of which is just out of this world.

The most important things on my BB are my contacts and calendar appts. Backing up once a month does the trick.

IF my BB was ever lost or stolen, I would have to dust off my Dash...god forbid. Then, I guess I would just have to go buy a new BB. Now that I am using a BB, I don't want to go back...

I got my BB after the last BB outage so wasn't affected - but I probably would have slipped the SIM into the Dash to get through it...
