Luckly, at my job I get a discount on most RIM products... so hopefully I would have the means to just buy a new one.

i would cry if i ever lost my burt (my blackberry)...but that will never happen so i won't be shedding tears and if someone stole my phone i would most likely go crazy asian on a rant gozilla style on people til my baby is back in my hands as a kiss burt. i use to laugh when i hear about the blackberry outage in 2007 but that was before i had one myself and honestly i think i would hold my blackberry til it was okay again!

It would totally ruin my work and productivity. I rely on it more than I ever thought I would. My staff also relies on me having it, so they would also be at a loss.

Haven't had it long enough to experience an outage but I dealt with outages with my old Cingular 8125. BB can't be any worse than ExpressMail, That system was horrible for outages. When it does happen, I'll do like before, spend two extra hours at work keeping up with emails.

If stolen, I guess I'd have to buy another and pray that the fleas of a thousand camels would infest the thief's armpits!

I backup daily. If it got lost or stolen, I would not panic.

I just learned about panic when I bought my Pearl 4 days ago. I asked the store staff to transfer my data while I shopped in the mall and they were happy to oblige. When I returned later they informed me that my SIM was blank and all my data was GONE! I'm sure I sprouted a few gray hairs instantly and then I turned ghost white. I had at leat 50 contacts in my old phone that were dust in the wind... and I only wished I was in Kansas!! Click you heels Dorothy!! I rushed home and started e-mailing the contact I could remember but this will take me weeks to recover and reload my data. My fingers were sore that night from re-typing in as many as I could think of. The free headset she gave me would never compensate that lose.

I dont know what I would do if my bb got stolen or lost, I dont want to think about it. Yes i was affect with a few outages but I had no choice but to wait. I would try everything from batt pull to calling customer service and resending the service books to see if that would help.

If mine was lost or stolen, I would probably see that as a sign that I needed to go out and buy the most current version of the curve.

That is actually the reason why I now back it up once a week because of the broken bb problem. Its happened to me twice on my curve.

I just moved to BB in the last two months so I have not been affected by the outage and really that would not sit well with me. For the last few years on the WinMobile side I had one issue with exchange mail but that was resolved in less than a day. On the RIM side if I was out of the loop for days I would not be happy.
