I just got my first BB on the 6th of Dec. I'm a BB noobie, lucky me I never experienced the BB outage.

I really, honestly don't know what I would do if my blackberry crapped out or got lost or went blackout on me. Anyone know how to setup an auto backup? :-/

I would replace it that day. During the outage I was confined to my desk. It was terrible.

Dear lord I haven't had my BB long but if it were to get lost or broken I know I'd have to get a new one ASAP...As far as outages go, if it happens I might as well take the day off of work and stay in bed...I don't think I could get anything done with out it now.

Well I keep most of my stuff on my blackberry, I would cry if it got lost or stolen, and be pissed because I would then have to buy one at full price. I'm just being really protective of it so hopefully that doesn't happen. It would be horrible

Like most, I'm terrible about backing up anything. Thanks for the reminder!
I was with Nextel during the big outage, so I was fine, but now with T-Mobile. I would be ok i suppose though considering I use a laptop at Starbucks a lot. Let's just not talk about such issues......

I'm not even sure how to back it up.

Right now my curve is mostly a generic phone, plus lots of games, and occasional quick internet access while shopping. So not sure outtages are much impace to me, but not having a ready game to distract me would be very challenging!

fallback to the laptop...not a good option though, you get spoiled with the little critter by your side.

Back up the BB takes only a short time and certainly provides great peace of mind. I would hate to have to reenter all those calendar dates, addresses, etc.

nothing really...I would just go and check my email account that it is connected to. Ever since I have had a blackberry, I have only experience two such incidents that I did not get any email....
but one thing for the lost blackberry...they should have a feature that when you are away from your device (sensor on your holster) that the device automatically locks up........I can't tell you how many times I have lost my device from leaving it accidentally in the taxi cab

I back it up every morning before I go to work. That way if something (shudder) happens, I'm only one day behind.

In spite of the high cost of a BB without a "plan", I would immediately buy a new BB.

I would be so thankful that at least I back it up once a month if not more. I know that its just a material thing and can be replaced...

altough I would miss those photos I took, that video I found, my music tracks, and then those in between emails I would miss, and the lack of phone book synch, no more looking up directions and locations of stores or restaurants...

aww crap that would suck, I dont know what I would do! hehe

I'd just have to get another one, if mine got lost or stolen. Would be a huge bummer though. I wasn't affected by the outage, but if I was, I'd have had to rely on my virtual desktop at home for email, which is a pain.
