i didn't have a BB at the time!!!
Broken/lost/stolen -- happened to me way too many times on my other cell phones. I would pay for the monthly insurance offered by my carrier.
I have insurance and would restor from my backup. Gotta have my BB.
I think once a week is the sweet spot. Anything more (with the exception of doing one right before you do something crazy with the phone) seems overkill to me.
Fire in the hole.
I would cry, then go buy another !
I sat at the service center like it was the ER room at a busy hospital waiting for some word of the outcome... it didn't make it. I did however get the all inclusive insurance and got a brand new sparkling Blackberry for me to start abusing.:o
If I lost my BB the first thing I would do is go get another one and be glad that I have the backup so I don't have to start over...
make use of my insurance plan and get another one!! then restore from my latest backup.
I'd use my wife's T68i, while I got a replacement or, if it was an outage, I'd just have to spend lots of time in WiFi hotspots with my Palm TX.
My life would cease to have meaning (sincere apologizes to my family...)
I have my Curve synched with 3 different computers - my work PC, a home PC, and my laptop. I synch with each at least every few days, so, if I loose or bust my BB, I've got all my info ready to go onto the new one!
I would certainly go thru withdrawl but would resort to mostly PC based stuff. Most of my BB is sync'd to my PC so I wouldn't lose anything.
New to BB so I have yet..only cuz I don't know how to.
Good thing I have an insurance plan on it! I would have to murdelize sumbody if they stoleded it!!!
What! No phone! I think I would have nervous breakdown! :o
this question makes me a bit emotional :(
thank god for backups though.
My BB is covered by my job, so if my 8300 was lost or stolen, I'd totally upgrade to an 8310! The company's BES wirelessly backs up my address book and calendar, so I'd just lose some media I guess.
go out and buy a new one :)
Wouldn't it be nice if that backup was constant via the cell phone service.
It'd be tough if my phone was stolen or misplaced. I've come to rely on it for email and calendar stuff almost the instant I purchased it. I probably don't back it up frequently enough, but I do make a point to back it up when I start adding or removing apps.
I backup each week, and have had to do restores to different models and it is always the way to go.
If lost, broken or stolen I'd let the BES czar at work know and immediately order a new Curve with GPS or WiFi
I usually back-up my BB when I add a new application...just in case it doesn't play nice with my other programs.
My 1st 8320 fried on me. Luckily I had a backup that wasn't too old. Amazing what is stored in them. If you had handed it to me without telling me it was a new phone, I wouldn't have noticed the difference. Even the pictures on the phone which I thought were lost were back on.
