Hi folks,

Just landed in the UAE and my TELUS simcard doesn't seem to be recognized by either Etisalat or Du.

It keeps showing SOS, and since TELUS doesn't support 2G, I've changed the selection of networks to 3G/H+.

Is there anything else that needs to be done to get service on my phone? Or is this due to the nature of TELUS' network?

When connected with wifi, I am able to get my emails/facebook etc...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Get a Du sim card, prepaid. Much cheaper. Unlock your blackberry first

You will need to activate international roaming on your account, if you haven't already.
