I tried using the forums search feature to determine if I can expect T-mobile service in the DC Metro subways.

I had a VZN BB Tour, however, it had real problems making calls in the subway. Not impressive: really frustrating. My GF's Sprint service seemed to work in the subway.

Any relevant comments from anyone with TMO service are highly appreciated. Thanks!

As far as I know, Verizon (and Sprint, via roaming) is the only carrier to currently work in the DC Metro. However, last years stimulus bill contained a provision that would require DC to open up the Metro to all carriers, so its only a matter of time before T-Mobile should work there.

I'm a DC Metro commuter and all my friends without Verizon or Sprint complain bitterly that as of the moment there's no service underground. Should improve "sometime."

They are absolutely correct....forget about tmo service on the subway!
