I am struggling syncing my contacts from my 9650 to my gmail account. I did the wireless sync and the first time I did it, it worked 100%. The next day I logged in to gmail on the desktop and 75% were gone. I removed all and tryed again, got them back. Next day 80% gone again. I just now tried creating Outlook Express and then importing to there. Same thing. It's like my BB doesn't want to share all of the information for some reason. Any thoughts or work arounds?

Google Sync works well for me and many others. You always hear of those who hate BIS sync or Google Sync... but one or the other should be able to suit you.

OK. Starting to get mad now. I have now tried everything I can think of. Is there an app I can use to download my contact list to and then import into GMail? Someone please offer me some insight.

Is your contact list on your Blackberry? Why not try Google Sync?

Yes it is on my BB. I have tried. It only sends 30 contacts out of 186 to gmail.

You can always use Desktop Manager and do an ASCII sync of your contacts to the desktop. This creates a .csv file that you could then import into Gmail or most anywhere else. Sounds like you may have a corrupt contact in there somewhere...

ASCII sync is just one of the Sync options in Desktop Manager. Drill down a notch and you'll see it. It's a one way sync... BB to Desk or Desk to BB but really pretty painless to use.

Ok currently trying this. It wants me to select a file. Am I supposed to create a blank file first or am I missing a step? Thank you for the help by the way.

Create a file, make sure it ends with .csv.

It appears that I must have a bigger problem. This procedure has only moved 21 of my contacts. Now what?

The next thing I would do is make a good backup of the device and try something like a ipd editor to extract your stuff.
