suretype question
Ok blackberry brainiacs...
I know someone out there has used a pearl with suretype and accessed a digital call center. For instance: "Thank you for calling the Widget corporation...please enter the FIRST THREE LETTERS OF THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH....etc.
How does one accomplish this on a suretype phone? Anyone have this problem? I can sort of remember abc is 2 and def is 3 on most keypads...but it would be a little bit of a pain to have to do this kind of mental recall when i am thinking about ten other things..
I thought at one point I had seen a blackberry work-around for this. Is there a keystroke shortcut for this? do you have a "note" stored with all the corresponding letters? do you simply try to remember them?
I deal with a LOT of suppliers for work and everyone is going to the digital operaters that transfer your calls and they all seem to use this format...
If anyone knows the solution to this I would be grateful...(I am buying the pearl nov. 1st and I want to be READY.. ha ha).
happy wednesday all..

I know with the qwerty bb's you hold shift and type the actual letters on the keypad but not sure how this would work with suretype.
