Very good analysis and a harsh reality.

Bbry can no longer compete effectively in the handset market.

So, take your ball (strengths) and go play in a different market.

Just like IBM has done, DELL is trying to do, Nortel, Palm and a long list of others failed to do.

In the IBM model which is a Harvard Business School classic Case study. They sold off the PC business and focused on Software and Services. Bbry has plenty of examples to follow or not.

The question remains as to whether they have the wisdom, skills or ability to execute their metamorphosis? Their history would say..NO.

This is a silly analysis. Private companies will be criticized just the same for not releasing high spec'd smartphones or taking too long to come to market with a new product.
I don't think they spend any time defending themselves to their shareholders. Just a few minutes of the quarterly report.
