Didn't really think of this as being news (I thought we all knew the 9550 would be rocking WiFi -- it's a mandate that RIM must put WiFi on every upcoming device) but in case you were doubting here's some screen caps. 5.0.0.161 is old now though... 5.0.0.183 is where it's at. Stupid busy but should get the upgrade done this weekend. One really cool development on the 9550 front that I'm excited to share... soooon....
Oh, and how do you like the new homescreen option on choosing your theme layout?
While a lot of us KNOW the 9550 has wifi... a lot of people out there would not believe it without seeing it...
Verizon users are used to having no wifi... lol
That's why I ran with the wifi pic... just so the Verizon guys out there can real really believe it
Can you tell us if the either or both 9520 or 9550 will be sporting North American HSPA frequencises?
You know, so us Telus boys can use it on the "new network" that will be dropping very soon... or the Rogers camp?

Exactly!! Thanks Kevin! CDMA customers will love seeing that post! The first CDMA Blackberry with wifi.....ever!
Pretty sure that it does, as I belive people that ran 5.0.0.140 on the 9530 had the option for the today screen. I am quite excited for it cause I don't like to run themes, but I want a today screen. I just hope it is somewhat customizable (i mostly just want the calendar, possibly messages/sms), and that it can show more than just your default account (I would like all my calendars to show on it), but one step at a time i suppose.
That's what's up...I can't for this to come out right now I'm runnin .148 on my storm gonna update to .151 have u guys run into any problems with it. I'm also running a winberry theme with a dozen apps...hopefully the new os will pick up on the sluggish accelerometer

I've had no problems with .151. I like it much more than .148. Its even better than 5.0.0.140

The only thing I liked better on 5.0 was that when typing in a web page, the text wrapped to the next line when you got all the way over to the right instead of just scrolling to the right as you typed. Made editing much easier.

i jus ran into a problem..finally installed .151 but when i went to go run my winberry theme the phone gave me an App Error 523. And i'm stuck with this theme cause there is no way for me to get down to my options icon to switch back..what I'm thinking I have to do is downgrade back to .148 switch themes then upgrade back to .151 and never use that theme again..however for the little time before the phone threw errors at me it was running smooth and a lot faster than .148..help me out if you guys have any other ideas on how to get my phone back working...= (

Remove the battery>press and hold the ESC/back button down while inserting the battery> continue to hold the button down until the phone has booted up. This boots you into safe mode and you can change/remove the theme that is causing the issue.
