Stopping the Crap?
I just got a new bold on at&t. I upgraded to the newest OS .282.
Everything is great until I turn on the radio and connect to at&t servers.
Then it starts downloading all this crap. Stuff like ATT navigator and Yellowpages, Att Mall, etc...
Is there any way to stop all the unless stuff for downloading? Or at least remove it after it has downloaded. Because if you check the menu there is no delete option.
Thanks. - 07-02-2009, 10:48 AM #2
Service book applications are typically income generating for the carrier, we can think of them as being commercials.
There is no way to prevent them from being pushed. It is possible to delete them by removing the associated service books, but they will always come back again.
The best way to manage them, create a new folder on the home page. Move the links to the new folder, then hide that folder. Gone, and they don't come back, because they are still there.
Memory used is not a concern, they are tiny, just a simple link. - 07-02-2009, 01:52 PM #6
