Staying up to date with news
What method do you use to stay up to date?
I used to swear by the BlackBerry News app but ever since the native twitter app allowed for multiple account sign-ins I hardly use it.
The way my 2nd twitter account is set up I follow all the tech blogs/people that interest me and use the timeline as a real-time RSS feed.
Same goes for my playbook but I use Blaq.
Of course I have the info separated by source but I like going through it and find myself reading up on things I wouldn't have before. - 07-06-2012, 04:24 PM #2
Twitter is the main source of news for me on a daily basis. But I do also use SideSwipe for other news as I can search specific topics.
I also have a Sky News app to get my local UK news fix. - 07-06-2012, 04:29 PM #3
I use Flipboard and then I check out a few blogs/news sites here and there.
If your tired of someone's comments, why not just put them on Ignore

I am in the Web camp. All the other options I use sparingly with the exception of
Podcasts which I have absolutely no tolerance for. - 07-06-2012, 05:21 PM #6
A variety of individual websites.

CB is paramount whilst Twitter is tantamount for me.

Twitter for most everything.

I use
1: Websites N4BB - BlackBerry news, forums, leaks, rumors, how to , globeandmail.com, linkedin.com, lifehacker.com, crackberry.com, engadget.com from time to time
2: twitter
3: BBM Groups
Twitter brings me to enough other sites outside of those sites listed, and BBM groups fill me in on all kinds of things I don't bother following on twitteroops...

Podcasts are fun for like the first 7 minutes or so. Then I get bored. Usually with the podcasts I TRY to listen to it's because they advertise that they're talking about something I'm interested in, but the podcast is an hour long and they're also talking about 3-4 other things. I don't have the patience to listen to the whole thing to get to the segment I want to hear!

Hi! I use Tech On! for technology news.
It has built-in 40 Tech RSS feeds, I didn't worry on configuring it! You can also add the feeds you like if they are not present at start.
Also you can post news to your Twitter account. I definitely like it! You can have more details here - 07-16-2012, 07:33 AM #19
