- Hey Crackberries!
I've had my 8130 from Sprint since Jan 08, and it's been good to me so far.
For the first 8 or 9 months my GPS service was great. Then one day it stopped finding satellites. I have been through every menu and option on my phone, I was pretty sure it's nothing on my end causing me the issue. I was running SprintNav (TeleNav) 2.1, and could never find satellite coverage.
Fast forward to today, I decided to install Google Maps. Well guess what? Now my GPS works again. Strange, no?
Anyone else ever use Google Maps to kickstart their GPS?02-19-09 02:53 PMLike 0 - Yep, used either BB Maps or Google Maps to kickstart the GPS for some of the free turn-by-turn software.
It depends on the software though. As expected, Garmin Mobile works perfectly on its own without a kickstart.
