    Hey Crackberries!

I've had my 8130 from Sprint since Jan 08, and it's been good to me so far.

For the first 8 or 9 months my GPS service was great. Then one day it stopped finding satellites. I have been through every menu and option on my phone, I was pretty sure it's nothing on my end causing me the issue. I was running SprintNav (TeleNav) 2.1, and could never find satellite coverage.

Fast forward to today, I decided to install Google Maps. Well guess what? Now my GPS works again. Strange, no?

Anyone else ever use Google Maps to kickstart their GPS?

Yep, used either BB Maps or Google Maps to kickstart the GPS for some of the free turn-by-turn software.

It depends on the software though. As expected, Garmin Mobile works perfectly on its own without a kickstart.

So I guess I get what I pay for. Cool, glad to know I'm not alone.
