Spread the word on the arrival of the BB10 !

I just can't help but drool over the bb10, and every single leak that comes out everyday,
I'm even watching the stock market of RIM shares each day.

With all this excitement boiling inside of me, I've been talking to a lot of my friends and co-workers about the device,
and at first , as soon as they hear "blackberry" their attention span is reduced by 3/4ths ... but as soon as I talk about all the cool features,
the camera, the keyboard, peak, flow, the personal and work modes, the amazing browser, the kernel system, the cinnamon feature....
their eyes bulge and I swear, gets a twinkle. I'm currently using an Iphone 4s ( shame on me ), and last year I converted over 15 people to android... I know, you don't have
to say another word.
But my goal these past two months has been convincing people to hop ship to bb10, and so far... I have about 5 people.
How about you guys, what are some reactions you're getting from people when you tell them you're switching to bb10, or a blackberry in general? Are you helping spread the word

I'm actually starting to notice some buzz. Folks seem to have gotten the message that RIM is still around and that new phone ARE coming. I even have a friend who is asking about, and going to get a PlayBook for his family for Christmas. He heard it was a great value. I'm doing my best to talk it up and to try to keep folks interested as we wait for the phones to arrive.

Ive been spreading the word and stopped three blsckberry users from moving to iphone 5 and instead wait for feb.

I stopped my agency from pursuing another platform because it is in the best interest of the agency. That is all I will do. I got burned championing the Playbook.

I don't work for RIM. They've got a marketing department. We keep hearing how they've got no debt...so they need to save themselves, and marketing is very much something they need to pay attention to.

After my experience with android, that would be a nice way to put it. Non stop glitches, terrible battery - the worst part my carrier replaced the device with a brand new one two times, so I went through three of the same device.

The people that would be interested at work are those who swear than can't do anything without a physical keyboard. Unfortunately, many contracts were up during the last months and all those people switched to iPhones. Not one that I know stayed with BB. Compounding the issue is that those who did switch to iPhone actually really like it, and are getting used to not having a keyboard. So then they go tell their coworkers how nice the iPhone is, and how easy it was to get used to the keyboard, and so on and so on...

So for those whose contracts are up later in 2013, I'm sure they'll take a look at BB again, but simply because it has a keyboard. It's a real shame that BB10 didn't come out for the holidays. But at the very least I am letting my coworkers know that BB10 is coming, and will have an OS totally different and a lot more fluid than iOS. But let's face it, BB has a bad name at our company, we were stuck with older, slower devices for a long time, so it's an uphill battle for me.

I have a few friends that have been staying with blackberry, and they're waiting for the contracts to run out to get a bb10. But you're right the majority of people switched to either Iphone or Android, I don't agree with you on the iphone keyboard though, maybe just a person thing. With my 4S, and all the new updates that it's received, i'm having a ton of glitches switching between apps, or going from text messages to facebook then switching to browser it will just freeze up (i'm kind of glad, I hope it's happening to many others and they'll switch to bb10

) , the keyboard is also not the greatest for me, I find having to correct a lot of mistakes that the phone just can't seem to remember or get used to.
I know I've read in places that it's smart for bb10 to not compete during holidays, that could be a reasonable choice. But you're right BB has a bad reputation among a lot of my peers, all they need I think is a little nudge towards the BB side, and once they actually play around with my bb10 I think they'll fall in love.
I just wanted to point out that a lot of users would just look at BB because of the keyboard, one of my friends who has had a torch , she says she's over the buttons and going to get the touchscreen BB, I think a lot of people will get the touch version, it seems like the new thing , and for those who love the keyboard will perhaps stick to it, I know I'm getting the touch
