    Hi, just wondering why when I'm tethering and run this speed test it always goes to Kansas to run from but when I'm at home and run from my home connection it goes to Chicago like it should. I live in IL.

    I changed the server on the below test to Chicago.

    when you run speedtest.net, you can choose your server you want to connect to. at least, while tethering/on a computer you can.

    it selects your default/closest test server based on your ip address. your US celluar ip is probably based closer to kansas that your home isp's servers.
