my blackberry curve 8330 the spacebar on it doesn't seem to be functioning correctly i have to press it numerous times to get 1 space.. is this a common problem that can be fixed easily or something?

Try cleaning it with some canned air, maybe it is just lint.
Never heard this problem before. If it's less than a year old, get the warranty going and get a new one. No, it's not normal. Canned air is a great idea, however, if something is busted and it's under warranty, I always say exchange!! That's why it's there.
