Does anyone know if I update the software on my Pearl will all the settings remain so I can just carry on as normal?
As I downloaded just before the finish i got a message saying that after installation I would need to be connected wirelessly to use messages and messenger! I didn't understand so I cancelled!
What that means is you just need to turn the Wifi and or Mobile Network back on, using the Manage Contacts Icon on your phones desktop.
And some if not most of you 3rd party programs, may need to have their setting redone. So make sure you do a backup before you install new OS software on your phone.
You were in the right place, I paused when I got that prompt too. Continue and everything will be exactly as you started, but with new software.
