Social Scope now Scope App. No need for invites anymore?
So I just noticed that Socialscope is now known as Scope App.
I went to their web page and there are downloads for Blackberry are available.
Scope :: Download
https://twitter.com/scopeapp
Im assuming invites aren't needed, but there is still a link to request one
Has anyone tried it? I already have Socialscope from an invite a few months ago. - 08-07-2012, 02:13 PM #2
You just can login with your Socialscope account. It works perfect for me

Nope lots of my friends have downloaded scope and when they request an invite they immediately receive an email with the code needed to create an account so yeah I think anybody can get scope now

Awesome! Its been a long time coming. I remember requesting an invite and waiting over a year! I had to get an invite from a friend on twitter

Yeah, they updated the app on Android. Calling it Scope Beta. Hope the new BB version is better than the Android version (it sucks, imo)
I just entered my credentials and it downloaded and installed like butter. Though, the Android version does have more account possibilities (linking)
Can someone post some screenshots of the new app, or is like the original SocialScope? EDIT: It's ok. The exact same app for BB, I just think they did away with the invites. Version 7.0 is working on my 9360.Last edited by Oniberry; 08-07-2012 at 03:54 PM.

I have 10 invites and I'm sure plenty of other folks do also so if anyone is in need just give a shout and we'll hook you up.

This thread serves to remind me how long I've been sans BB. =(
Is SocialScope still invite only? Good lord.

it seems to be an open beta now. i just downloaded and requested a code and it was mailed to me right away.
i used this program a few yrs ago it was ok but not getting instant notifications like you do through other Blackberry apps was annoying. lets hope they fixed that.
now i just have to wait for someone to msg me! lol

I like Socialscope better. I think the interface is cleaner and I like how u can integrate Facebook and 4square.
I hate the lack of push notifications though. That's why I keep Twitter for Blackberry running in the background and still reply via Socialscope lol - 08-09-2012, 06:08 PM #16
I have 10 invites left contact me on @Villordsutch for an invite.

But remember this is ss were talking about. They've been in beta for aprox 5 years. Not seeing this process go extremely fast is an option judging from their past.

Ya they used to have good support an update a lot for me.. I used some emails an they did send a invite right away so maybe this means the updated app will be posted for now I just use ubersocial cause I beta test for paul so I don't have to put up with the ads lol

the site still says invites required - which is a pain. Really want to get to the apps.
