I've seen that some of you are managing to run Smart Wifi on you 9900's.. what's your secret as it will not work for me!

It installs, searches and picks up on my wifi but won't add it to the list and therefore I can't activate it.

This was one of my most used apps on my 9700 as I tend to use wifi connection when I'm at friends houses and now I have to remember to turn it on/off all the time..

    Any ideas?

You can try using Cell Network or WiFi, it is available on app world.

Not sure if it does the same thing as S WiFi.

I'm running it with no problem (although I'm not happy that $4.99 seems to translate to 4.99 in AppWorld) so perhaps delete and reinstall?

Is it just the one WiFi location you've tried? If so, have you tried it elsewhere to see whether perhaps it is an issue with that particular connection?

I've been running WiFi Manager, free in App World, without any issues. Basic app that gets the job done.

If you can point me in the right direction I might have some success.. really gutted about Smart Wifi

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem as you on my 9930. Also until now, I haven't found a solution for this. Perhaps waiting for an update?

    From the S4BB site:

    Supported Devices

All WiFi-capable BlackBerry devices are supported.

Of course, this may not be updated for OS 7. I am running 1.7.12 and works on my 9900.

Works fine for me, I had it on my 9700 and now on my 9900. You have to be connected to your wifi before you open it, then ad your network and only then you can activate it.

Same issue here, can't add wifi hospots anymore since their latest update. Support wasn't helpful at all and said to possibly wait for an update! And considering it took them 1 year to release this update... Anyone got any fixes?

I have been using Smart WiFi on my 9930 since launch without any issues. Strange to hear others can't get it to work.

What OS are the people with the issues using? I still have not upgraded to 7.1. Are the people having issues running 7.1?

I am completely guessing here but it could be something basic like that.
