small "D" next to the "check mark"
Sometimes (but not often) after I send a SMS text, there is a small letter "D" next to the check mark. I am referring to the check mark that indicates a SMS text has been sucessfully transmitted. Anyone know what the "D" stands for ? It does not happen all the time, just on occasion.
Thanks

If its for a text message and your a verizon customer it means it has been sucessfully delivered. Generaallyyy will only show if other person has verizon as well

Both of the above are correct it works that way for verizon, t-mobile, sprint, and att. I don't know about international.
Whenever you send a sms or mms between the same network you will see the D above the check mark when it is successfully delivered. It will also (when it feels like it) show up between different networks but generally its for the same network.
Hope that helps!

The "D" does indeed stand for Delivery, and its only available when SMS or MMS messages are sent to and from Verizon phones. Other Verizon phones have a check mark next to the successfully delivered messages, too. This is only between Verizon to Verizon phones, however.

I get the little D from all networks for emails as well as SMS (I have Verizon) as long as I'm sending to another BB (doesn't work if the recipient opens my message on a PC).

I'm on Rogers in Canada, and the only time I get the D next to the check mark is on a pin or bbm, regardless of what network my recipient is on. I believe it is dependant on your carrier more so then the recipients carrier.
