    Wowza...this thing is great.

I recind previous posts about my BB not replacing my ipod. Time to get a bigger SD card

As a side note, how does this thing respond to getting a call when your listening?

No, you can create "playlists" if you will....I'd be looking for an app for that too...I like talk radio.

I can't get this to work on my Telus 8130. Anyone know if this is a Telus issue or something to do with my 8130 running 4.5

    Thanks!

It sucks, but according to the article:
"The Slacker Personal Radio Mobile application is currently available for U.S. customers only."

Edit - They may lock it by carrier?

I just downloaded this. I can't wait to run to lunch and try it out! Someone mentioned something about there being a 7 day trial though: http://forums.crackberry.com/f83/sla...s-bold-132431/

Guess I'll find out in a little bit.

This is so cool. Unfortunately I also bought their 8GB G1 player from the woot deal the other day. Wonder if I should return it or keep it since it works on the BB now.

It seems to go by space on the SD card available - I have a 1 gig card that was mostly full and could only cache one station, but after clearing it out a bit, I can cache five stations now.
I have a 4GB card and can cache up to 28 stations.

So am i to assume when you "cache" stations, it does not use data...I have a verizon data plan but am somewhat paranoid about verizons disdain for streaming media

It's working great on the Flip. It's not as good as Pandora (IMO) but it's darn close!

You cache stations by hooking it up via USB to a computer, so it should be fine

i'm liking the classic rock, 60s and 90s rock stations!

Also, the artist and album info is neat. Love the album images too.

The site says you should have at least 500MB of free storage on your media card. Probably the ONLY negative.

I was under the impression that the free basic version is a full app. Am I wrong, is this just a trial application?

    Thanks!

I am having difficulty caching stations. I do not get a prompt to do so when I connect via USB... Is there another program from slacker that I need to download?

    BBB,

I have over 700MB free on one of my SD cards and I can only cache 3 stations. You're right, only negative. This only provides a valid reason to go 16GB.

If you're having issues with caching stations, check the space on your SD card.
