When you're backing a Kick starter project and the creators say there's only three stretch goals and the third and final one is WP support. Feels bad man.

    That sinking feeling-img_20140217_090449.png

They're making an android app, but still just another reality that can't be shook.

Do not despair, when sales pick up as BlackBerry makes the turnaround, things will be brighter.

Android was once in those shoes before.

Are they making the API open?

Yes, at least. Which will be good for some of the awesome BB10 devs we have.

It's actually a pretty amazing product if they manage to build it and everything. They're asking for developers to contact them about adding Dash support in their apps.

Meh. I guess they haven't done their homework about which platform pays the best. Not my problem. If it's any good, a BlackBerry equivalent either already exists or will soon.

What's this "sinking feeling" bit? No such feeling here...

Me thinks they know which platform pays best, by the virtue of them avoiding BB10. Let's not kid ourselves here lol.

WP8 got a big boost when Nokia released the 520/521. If the BlackBerry Jakarta is priced similarly, that should help build the BlackBerry 10 user base, which, in turn, will lead to better support from app developers.

Plus, with 10.2.1, you can install this app via Snap or the Amazon app store once it's available.

nothing against the project but there are at least 100 companies working on similar projects. This is unfortunately not the best of them either. I would say its a decent design but dont worry blackberry fans this wont be the last of similar projects. I already have the iriver on which tracks distance, time, gps, heartrate and vo2 max. Yes its an android app and it works great on blackberry. sure it has wires but its very unobtrusive and its bluetooth as well. So okay this app doesnt come online with blackberry but others will It wont be the death of blackberry because of it.
