If you're an AT&T customer and are as sick of all the extra garbage they push to your phone, simply give them a call and ask them to stop. I just got off the phone with them and the tech rep was glad to stop the marketing for me. No more hiding them every time I try out a new theme or install a new OS! Gone for good!
Well the tech rep I spoke with yesterday told me that it wasn't a problem to stop them from being pushed to the phone, she supposedly did something on their end and told me if I received them again to call. I just did a bp and they're back again, so I called tech support again and this time the rep told me that they can't stop them from showing up on the phone, that they're in the OS itself and not sent by AT&T. At this point I don't know which one is telling the truth, since there's another user here that claims they had them stopped for good:
