Since the launch of BB10 we have lack the possibility to zoom out on image before uploading, no one is talking about it anymore. Does it mean we dont need it anymore?

He's talking about being able to zoom out before cropping a profile pic for example, so you can put up the whole pic even if it's not perfectly square. I found that to be such a strange and backward step when I first started using bb10.

Best work around for that I think would be to open the pic in the photo viewer and take a screen shot of it. This should allow you to include the entire photo as your DP in BBM.

That does not work on Z30.

Have you tried turning the phone sideways? Haven't used the Z30 in a few months since I got my Passport but I remember being able to turn the Z30 sideways and the orientation of the pics change as well. Once you're in this mode, there should be a empty space on either side of the photo, take a screenshot of this and then use the screenshot as your DP in BBM. Theoretically this should work. If I was home, I could try this on my wife's Z30.

would really love that zoom in and out of diplay pic option again its the simple things sometimes

It's true the photo editor doesn't have that ability... very odd I remember trying it in instagram as well and noticing it couldn't do it and thinking that was odd.

Would definitely need to make a return!
