Hi my bbQ10 is stopped doing working its board is cracked its no more. Now I have no money to buy bb passport or classic couse I am jobless. I dont like bb q5.
So should I buy BlackBerry 9900 bold because I only want bb with keyboard phone.is company still giving some updates or service for 7 os. Or 7os is finished like bb playbook. Please help me I have to buy bb 9900 this week. Should I go back to 7os from Q10

I really enjoyed using the 9900 but it's hard to go back to a phone like that after using BB10. I just remember the "not enough memory" issue when attempting to load a simple Web page.

If you have no money to buy a BB10 device then I guess you have no choice. You can get a 9900 for 50 bucks on ebay so I guess it's not bad.

Absolutely go for it. If your jobless, your not going to g paying for a high data pack so th bold is perfect for email, texts and calls.

The 9900 will serve you well as a basic communication device until such times as finances are looking better. I'd then look into getting a Q10, they're the same specs as the classic but minus the toolbelt and smaller (better for putting in pockets)

i am in thinkable tough condition, my q 10 is dead
what can i do i only like bb 10 seres keybord mobiles i dont want to go back for bb7 os i just realise from crackberry that bb7 is almost dead os no develpment for bb7
today i go to care with my q10 and technician said he will try his best to make fine q10 again
lets see what happn they will give me response within week
now i will not go back for 7 never

Sorry, but i can't agree. It really depends on what you're going to do with the phone!
My wife still uses her 9900 and she has no issues. Sometimes I'm rather ashamed that those pretty small apps load even faster than they do on my Z10 - which has the same hardware as the Q10. All right, she doesn't have a many apps as I do. But if you're simply emailing, texting and looking up some minor facts in the internet you're absolutely fine with it.

9900 is still pretty nice device. And loading webpages is mostly really fast. So if you're short on money, grab a 9900 and be happy to save some cash. Only thing you have to look for is that you're carrier still has BB Services for you...

While I loved BBOS, there no way I could go back now after BB10. I know a lot of people still love their older devices though. The other day I was working with a IBM tech, and he was using a Bold 9000.

As others have said a 9900 is an excellent device for communications like messages, emails and calls.

As for large supply of apps and a really good browser that's where BB7 had its limitations as a modern smartphone.

Good thing with the 9900 is they are still quite cheap and loads of them out there for parts and stuff. Very durable and sexy looking device with a fantastic keyboard. With the BIS data compression and the fact that the browser isn't quite as fast a modern day smartphone your data plan might not need as many gigabytes. You may be able to modify your existing plan a bit and save a few bucks.

Not sure what carrier your with but another option might be to see if your carrier offers almost like a payment plan for new devices.

My carrier is offering a "plan boost" where the extra $5,10,15 a month etc goes towards a much bigger discount on a phone.
