I don't think it should be illegal, but hands-free devices should be mandatory.

I am talented and use a Bluetooth Earpiece for using my bb while I drive. Besides, I have gotten so sick of holding a phone next to my ear. I use my bluetooth earpiece at home even. And have an extra earpiece charged for when my other ones dies.

If they did make it illegal for BB use while driving, that would just increase the need for OEM hands-free usage. I would love to be able to dictate emails to my blackberry while I am driving and have it send automatically when I'm done without ever having to take my hands off the wheel. That would be cool.

Yes, I think there should be some type of law for blackberry/cell phone use while operating a vehicle.

If I truly believed that Government, as a whole, had more common sense than I do, I would say yes, pass a law. Since Government seems to be dealing with the death of common sense, I say stay out of my business. I'm a big girl - no texting/email while driving. Bluetooth all the way.

Laws not prohibiting but implementing the use of bluetooth headset especially in driving. And sending an sms/email for that matter for any mobile phone not just blackberrys

The government should not interfere. Drivers should have the sense not to text or drive with phone up to ear. It is distracting and dangerous. That's what ear phones are for.

Laws shouldnt be made unless they can be enforced, but no one shouldn't text or email. Although I must admit Ive done both.

it wouldnt be out of the ordinary for the government to deem it not safe. look at all the other things that arent safe they choose to pass a law against. like weed for example. id rather see a stoner drive home then an alcoholic.

I'm not a big fan of government restrictions on much of anything.
I feel crappy driving, no matter what the reason, should be penalized according to applicable laws that already exist.

I am in favor of the laws that say you have to have either an earpiece or some kind of bluetooth device while you drive. In California, the number of people driving with cell phone in hand has gotten crazy!
