Curious after trying to figure this out most of the day, if anyone can assist / offer insight.
I like to stream somafm as well as a local EMS scanner feed. This used to be no problem, and I cant say when it started acting up. Perhaps when I started using the 9530 more.
Anyhow, I can not seem to stream, when I have no APN set. Along with viewing youtube, and some other 3rd party apps wont work properly. So, I set the APN to match Fido (internet.fido.ca).
At this point, streaming / apps work, intermittently, as now my EDGE frequently drops to edge, losing connectivity to browsing / BBM / IMs etc etc.
If I remove the APN, EDGE remains solid, however my issues running streams / apps crop back up.
Anyone notice / have insight as to why EDGE would drop to edge due to setting the APN??
I have tested this on an unlocked 9530, running 4.7.0.151, as well as 5.0.140
Same issues persist across OS.
