    Default Security for my Z10?

How do I prevent someone from hacking my z10 phone? Don't tell you can't hack a crackberry. There's a ton of cheap software out there saying they can. I downloaded security max as a precaution.

Encrypt and put a password on. It can't been hacked within your lifetime. I'm sure you can find apps that claim to protect you if you just pay. There's a chance they won't make security worse but they won't make it better.

Encrypt the data on your memory card and add a password to your device.

    Don't download apps
    Don't use the browser
    Don't connect to Wifi
Don't connect to a carrier network
Oh yeah and don't turn on blue tooth.

Do all of the above and you'll be safe.

Wi-Fi with WPA2, don't broadcast the SSID and use MAC filtering can be pretty safe. I wouldn't worry about that. Bluetooth on BlackBerry is not discoverable by default, it is safe enough for most uses. You have to connect on the carrier network or you have a mostly useless bit of kit. I agree about the apps and browser but common sense can go a long way to prevent problems there.
