I have a 2 gig memory card inserted on my bb8330 .. I have ringtones and pictures on the card. When I view the pictures and go to properties, it says its on the media card. However, when I go to options and go to media card it says I still have 1.9 G avaliable. How is that? Shouldn't that number be going down. Wow this is all to confusing to me.

I agree, that's not very much. Remember, that .1GB is roughly 100MB. So, POE is right.

Its normal - not to worry you would be surprised how much you can add before you start to see a difference. I have thousands of files on my card...

hmm, i can agree with you here...but just lookin at my phone (Storm). The one pic i have that i took with the phone's camera is 690.8 KB.

    1000 kb = 1 MB

    690.8 x 100 = 69,080 kb = 69.8 MB > .1 GB.

as for the ringtones....they can really vary in size...

so, looks like S7ar Scr3am is on the right track with this line of thinking. Unless your pics aren't from your phone's camera, or are bigger files than the one's i currently have.

But yeah, i'd think it'd be lower than 1.9, since usually the "usable" space on any memeory is a tad smaller than what's actually on the card (i.e. 2 GB card...1.95 GB usable...)

Just a side note... My brother (yes, my brother, not some friend of a friend of a friend who knows Kevin Bacon...) had an issue with his memory card not registering "used" space accurately. Never did figure out why. To verify, I'd plug my BB into my computer (or just using a card reader, plug that into your computer) to verify the remaining space on your card.
