Am I the only one who thinks that they stole the UI style from iOS?
The tab bar, the segment control on top... etc. - 05-06-2012, 07:44 AM #29
Would you please stop turning a really cool thread into "My Android and iPhone can already do this"? All phone OS's copy from others.
What is exciting is that RIM is finally using its resources to create a really nice looking OS. I love that your can 'tilt' your phone to read messages. I like that this phone can multitask by swiping instead of having to hit or hold a home/Blackberry button (iOS/Android/BBOS/WP7). As much as I like Android and iOS, neither are perfect. The more BB10 I see, the more likely it is that I will buy one after release.Thanked by 5:needforbbx (05-07-2012), Steltz (05-07-2012)

Hm, that version of Twitter looks a lot like the iOs & Android version.
Go figure

The UI is very similar to iOS, so I agree with you on that.
As for the tab bar...I think Android was the first to have that.
iOS has always had that top bar that displays time, signal, etc.
But Android was the first to make it a pull-down bar and all that good stuff.
Which is why I don't think BB10 will really do all that well.
We already have iPhone & Android. People are just going to think Blackberry
is copying them. But that's just my opinion lol.Current devices: iPhone 4S 32GB (Black) & Blackberry Bold 9930

Kid get some research done.
Not a single piece of mobile os , again, not a single mobile os, has multiitasking like BB10. It kicks the a$$ out of ios and droids . Did u even see the vdo?
Which keyboard gives u prospect word suggestions? Even personal computers doesn't have that yet. apparent reason we bbers won't need Damn You Auto Correct! - Funny iPhone Fails and Autocorrect Horror Stories
Granted the camera app is a third party but which great os cared to pick them? Except BB10, none.
You after reading this *watches the video* lol...
Ps: may, or just maybe, from ur perpective, if its rim then it can't be innovative

Why even say that? like "go figure"...its TWITTER! twitter creates their apps, why wouldn't they make all of their apps look the same?
The way you are reacting it sounds like you rather them develop 4 completely different UI's for BB,iphone, android and windows phone...that sure is worth their resources instead of working on 1 and perfecting that one... - 05-06-2012, 06:34 PM

Hey guys, here's a few more pictures! Keep in mind, these are from an internal RIM document outlining some of the unique and/or interesting features coming in BlackBerry 10, for the use of employees.

Keep in mind, a lot of this might be early concept-ish type stuff on RIM's part, but nonetheless this is all from RIM and nothing I've made myself.Thanked by 40:+ Show/Hide list of the thanked -

I didn't buy a Playbook even at discounted price due to lack of apps. Specially the Skype. I can't think of a one reason why I should waste my money one touch screen BB 10 when I can get a Samsung Galaxy III!

Wow, looks very much like Harmattan on my Nokia N9, which also has the same all apps screen, with the multitasking screen to its right, and a centralized notifications screen to its far right. Even the lock screen shares some similarities, though the cinnamon toast notifications are a neat TAT touch. Looks like the Swedes took a page from the Fins in designing the UX for BB10.
Still, looks very nice, and since most North American consumers are unaware of the N9 and its swipe UI, BB10 could very well come off as a truly original UX paradigm.
Also, this 'leak' sounds more like a planned leak. Perhaps RIM gave up some info to get some excitement peculating in the community and support the stock.Last edited by illuminuldis; 05-06-2012 at 09:39 PM. Reason: unfinished thought, grammatical errors
