My wife, son and myself all got 8330's within the past month and I got my wife a Motorola S9-HD stereo BT headset for Christmas, which worked great.

In order to keep me from stealing her S9-HD, my wife got me my own for my birthday yesterday. It seems that mine don't behave the same as hers though. The lowest volume I can set the headphones to during phonecalls is verging on painfully loud, although the blackberry displays shows the volume as being set to "0". I can turn the volume up, but not down to a comfortable level. I haven't yet tried prying my wife's blackberry out of her hands long enough to see how my S9-HD's work with her blackberry, but I get the same behavior with my son's blackberry and my S9-HD's.

Does anyone have a likely explanation for what is going on? Do you think it's a bad headset, or some sort of configuration problem? BTW, the headset works great for music, it's only phonecalls which are problematic.

Sounds like a bad headset. Try exchanging it?
