Rotate Image?
I just bought my first BB (8310) a week ago and so far am loving it! This site has been invaluable. I've found a ton of great information and answers to various questions I've had, but there is something I wasn't able to find via searching.
I use my phone's camera to take pictures and send them to flickr via email, but I cannot figure out how to rotate the images before sending. I went to the media browser and tried rotating them there, but I guess that only rotates the display not the actual image because when I emailed the image out it was still sideways. Is there no way to do this?
-
I dont think there is on the BB, but when you're looking at the picture in flickr, rotate is an option:
-
That's true, but I also use TwitPic to have the images sent to my twitter feed and there is no rotate option on that hehe. It just seems very odd to me that the BB would be missing such a basic camera function.

Very odd, true. The only work around I can think of is to view the picture, rotate it, fill screen, and then take a screenshot of the display. lol. That's what I do anyways. Maybe someone else has a better idea?
-
Oh well, I guess I will just stick with taking landscape shots instead of portrait. Thanks!

yup mm is right. you can flip the display of the image, but it wont actually save the image as you rotated it. you would need a 3rd party app to do this.
-
Thanks for the response. Can anyone recommend an app that would do this? I looked around, but the ones I saw seemed to be targeted towards slide show type presentations.

you mean like an image editor for the blackberry? i have never seen or heard of one, and i would assume that it would drain so much memoury and battery power just to run the program, well, it may not exist now that i think about it. try maybe a google search..?
my recommendation would be that if youre absolutely determined to flip your pictures, transfer the one(s) you want to rotate onto your pc, edit them there, then send them back to your phone edited. :)

yea ive looked for an image editing program for a while and i have never been able to find one.... and it's bs that it doesn't have enough memory because there are non smartphone that have better video editing programs then the bberry
-
better video editing programs like what??? im not sure what regular cell phone would have a full blown image editing program...... ???????????

I'm not looking for a full blown image editing program. Just something that will let me rotate an image.
