The new one has been problems galore for me and my poor Curve.

It has deleted Messenger and other apps - they are gone, gone, gone with no apparent way to recover them.

It has also messed up my synching, both at home and at my work computer. So now my calendar and address books are not synched at all and I rely on them sooo much to keep my life straight, for both work and family!

Is there a way to go back to the old O.S. and if so, how?

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR ANY TIPS!

Yes, it is very simple to roll your BlackBerry back to any prior OS. Most of us keep a known good one on hand for just that purpose.

Use Window / Control Panel / Programs to uninstall the problem OS package.

Download and install your carriers supported package.

Connect your BlackBerry and start Applications Loader from the Desktop Software, you will be prompted to accept the downgrade.

If you are using a package other then your carrier, there is on more step.

Navigate to c:\program files\common files\research in motions\apploader. Scroll to the bottom and delete the file vendor.xml.
