With all this financial news going on with RIM,I really don't know if I should purchase a blackberry,could someone pls enlighten me as to what could really happen here? And if I should still purchase a bb thanks
The bleak financial news doesn't mean that blackberries don't work now. Blackberry phones are still great smartphones. They're built for reliable email and messaging.
Definitely buy one now. RIM has money rolling in from three areas:
1). Handset sales.
2). Network revenues from royalties paid by every carrier
3). A stack of patents that generare quite a lot of $$$
RIM is in real trouble right now. If it can get through the next two quarters, it will be fine. There is a proviso to this and it is that the next generation of BlackBerrys (BB10 devices) are as good as they say they are and, they have loads of apps ready to run.
Even so, the BlackBerry name is NIT going to go away. It is too well liked and respected.
