i use a bb 9780 & have all my contacts on it...unfortunately it fell down y'day from a considerable height & the screen turned totally white..am unable to unlock the screen or use the phone in any way...in order to retrieve my contacts, tried using bbdm >>organizer>>contacts...however the "configure" button is greyed out making it impossible to export the data ...i also used to take a daily back up on bb protect...is thr a way i can recover my contacts...purchasing another bb is not an option..plan to shift to a nexus 5....thnx...

Are you connected wirelessly or with USB? Use USB....

Yes if you used BlackBerry Protect with your contacts, it should restore them.

i am connected with usb...i am no longer able to see what's on the screen...how do i export the contacts to a new medium...maybe excel or to android or any other...
