Ok so the last few days, I've been getting a message from my 8900, we've detected a media card with errors on it do you wish to repair, and every time I have its worked. Well now, it says its failed to repair the media card. My question is what are other ways to repair a media card, I've got all my ringtones and pics on this badboy and want to fix this. Lastly if there isn't a way to repair it, how can I transfer the data to another media card? TIA

I had the problem too esp after swithing from phone to phone..there might be a different way but unless you did a clean wipe you could transfer the data to your pc, wipe it then reload everything back on..hope that helps

Can your PC see the card?
If so, then transfer over the information to a folder on your computer.
If your phone cannot read it, use a memory card reader.
Next, format the card in the pc.
Then format the card in your phone.

    If you get this far:
    DO NOT COPY EVERYTHING BACK!!!!!

Instead, run the device with the card in it for a few hrs/ day or two.
then copy a few files back at a time.
If it works, then there is a corrupt file you have and not a bad card.

funny thing is that some memory card readers will read damaged mem cards.

Thanks, even in my copying over the files to my PC it looks like there was a corrupt file detected, looks like that's the problem.

    Cool.....(I think)
This is how I found out about my card
Even if it is a corrupt file, if you have sandisk call them up and they will replace free of charge. They have lifetime warranties.

Really? I don't have a receipt, will they still send another? In fact I think I got this one cuz of a corrupt Mirco SD card I had from my previous phone.

    yep...
They will ask when you bought it (and they will tell you it doesn't matter) but I am pretty sure they will ask the serial #.
do the live chat from their website.
I did today for the heck of it about counterfeit cards.
