Anyway to have your tasks show up while in active frame? Seems weird if it isn't a feature and seems weird that it would just show the check. I mean 3rd party apps do it.

No way to do it natively. Third party apps will tho

In remember, If you add a due date, you see the first tasks (alphabetically ordered) in the active frame as "due today":
If there are none, you see an information how much are due this week (or how much overdue)
If you want to order your tasks yourself, you can use the trick to add a number.
For example:
4 do this task
Then, if you add another remember task, and you know, it is more important, you can write:
2 do this more important task
Why, let always a room to add a task inbetween...

I also notices that "!" sign comes before 1 so absolutely important tasks are saved this way in my remember app:

!! Absolutely to do before the others (with due date)

Tasks without due date are not shown in the active frame.

Now Remember is my only notes and to-do app.

One thing I would like is rearranging the order.

If you have OS 10.2.(1??) , both due date and reminder are shown in the calendar!
(I mean the note/task is shown with a remember symbol at its due date and on the reminder date in the calendar)
