While my car was in the shop, I got a rental Toyota Yaris and I discovered how cool it is to have my phone play over bluetooth. With the Yaris, I have one or two seconds to adjust the volume after the BT connection, then it is locked at that level. I am looking at a bluetooth to Aux adapter for my 2006 VW GTI (will probably use the aux in on the after-market iPod adapter).

I don't want a speaker, just an adapter that receives the BT signal that I can connect to Aux in. Steering wheel control would be nice (like I have with the iPod) but I am probably not going to find it.

Anyone have any knowledge on this ? TIA

Thanks that is pretty close. But I want something that runs off of the car power. I will keep looking.

FYI: In case anyone else is looking, I found the following:
-Fiscon make units that integrate into the car system (display of contacts, steering wheel buttons) ~250 EUR
-Belkin Hands-Free Bluetooth Car Kit ~$60USD
