When promoted to a new team years ago I was given a BlackBerry and a PageNet pager the one where you received full messages on. The model BlackBerry escapes me now. But it was the beginning of a love affair that has lasted to this day.

BlackBerry Storm 9530! I wanted a touch screen phone and they were buy one get one free! Wound up replacing it with a Storm 2 9550 for the better sure press and more device memory. My love affair began! Upgraded to the Torch 9850 and then picked up a 64GB PlayBook. Now I have a Z10! Plan on picking up the Z30 as soon as I can! I love all of my BlackBerry devices!

My first was a 8530 Curve, still using it. I've tried Androids, 4 of them, I come back to Berry fore it's a serious phone not a toy and gaming hand held. BlackBerry gets er done!

Bold 9000, back in 2008 December. Didn't really buy it, but got it as a gift from an uncle. Didn't know anything about BlackBerry before that phone, fell in love with it, and stuck with BlackBerry till today. Bold 9000, Torch 9800, bold 9900, and the Z10. Will get the Z30 when I collect some money.

Pearl 8100 back in late Fall/early Winter 2007 as my first "smartphone" (internet connected device) ever. I believe this was RIM/BB's best selling model ever, with a few sources citing they moved 15 million of these - almost three times as many than the original iPhones. It was a hot commodity for BB, the first phone of theirs to be truly consumer-oriented and it was pretty groundbreaking at the time... my first memory of it was just turning it on and being amazed at what it could do and how I could be connected to the internet anytime. And BBM was revolutionary at the time...text message plans were very limited in '07 and I would constantly blow over it. I think I sent easily 1,000 msgs on BBM on a monthly basis back in the day!

Great for BBM and emails, but was pretty ****-poor at browsing or any document editing. In hindsight, I should have waited a few months for the 8800 series to drop. Ultimately I had it for three years til the end of my contract where I then bought a 9300 in Nov 2010 and the first thing I did on that phone was to drop the just-released OS6 leak on it... I don't think I've ever even seen OS5 on any phone I've used (last OS for the 8100 was 4.5). It was leagues beyond the 8100 in capabilities, I spent an entire day getting apps and tinkering with the device. While the Pearl introduced BB for me, it was the 9300 on OS6 that made me a BB loyalist.

8330 here as well in 2008. Had a Samsung Instinct, one of Sprint's early touchscreen phones at the time. I dropped it, screen wouldn't work so couldn't use my phone to call anymore. Went in to get it repaired, found out it would be a $100 insurance claim. Same price was the 8330. Said screw it, I never want a phone that I can't dial again.

Soon followed by a Bold 9650 and Bold 9930 (both made such an awesome combo with my Playbook) and now Q10.

    I'm hooked.

Same here. Never even owned a cell phone before it. Walked into best buy Christmas of 2007 and picked up a pearl. Then the curve, then the 9000, 9900, Z10
