I am using my curve with the newly D/L 4.5 desktop software and it works great sync and all. HOWEVER after I installed mini safe it will not sync it comes up with a unknown error message at the end of the sync and stops. is it poss its a DM 4.5 thing because I have used mini safe before and it synced fine

You can use the advanced backup/restore to do just the critical DBs you need or you can roll back if this is still an issue for you.
