I'm leaving Verizon next month when my contract is up. My friend wants my Blackberry Storm and he has T-Mobile. Is it possible to unlock this phone for him to use on his contract??? I don't know how this stuff works so thought I would ask for HIS sake.

you can, and search the forums, many threads on this. it is a bit of a PITA but can be done.

It will only work on 2G on gsm ..

Blackberry unlocking can be done for blackberry Storm models.
That device can be unlocked, all you need to do is to get the unlock code for your Blackberry (you can buy one online).

If you already have the unlocking code from Verizon then follow the Blackberry Storm unlocking instructions

Verizon devices that used for both CDMA and GSM use are also need to be set for GSM use and you can enter the CDMA settings menu by dialing ##000000 from your storm device.

and on T-Mobile you will get EDGE (2G) with that unlocked device.
