With the BB outage, was phone service interrupted too? or was it just web/email access?

I'm sort of in the market for a new smartphone and really want the Curve. I kinda like the iPhone too especially after today's SDK news but that's not until June and I would wait for iPhone hardware to change.

The few outages I have experienced over the last 3 years only involved email, not sms, mms, or phone service.
