hey I followed your guide a while back...thanks so much!
I was curious is it possible to remove the "sample video" "sample pictures" and "sample songs" titles?

Thanks for your useless input...but you can't send screen shots via PM. But I'll
keep that in mind for next time. Sorry if my thread got in you way.

The OP wants to remove the categories or titles from the menu within Media, not the media itself - which to my knowledge, cannot be done - as Kronk mentioned.

Actually you can send screen shots via PM.
It's just like any other picture.

Guess my input isn't so useless anymore.

I said my intentions were not to be rude.
It was unnecessary for you to respond like that IMO.

Yes maxmem will remove THE samples (video, music, and pics) but not the titles
thats why I posted the screen shots to avoid confusion. The samples are all gone. I'd like to remove the titles though.

Your right I was short with you... sorry. I know you can PM images via url address but if there is a way to send attachments (like Rove screen shots) I am either unaware of or overlooked it. Again sorry for being fresh with you.

Thanks Kronk...It's not that big of a deal...it just bugs me a little to have this title to nothing. Also if you could remove it somewhere that should also mean you could change it to say whatever you want. I.E. an easily accessible place for wallpapers or something?

I hear what you're saying man, I'm afraid it's just not possible. AFAIK, the categories are encoded into the .cod and not changeable.

Now you know for sure, it is simple to remove the sample video, music and preloaded images, but the menu remains unchanged.

Posting it in the appropriate forum would have been better, but far less visible to others.

The advantage to asking your question in public, everybody gets a chance to read it and sees the same answer. If the answer is not correct, you can be sure it will be corrected quickly.

We have a large volume of short visit traffic, an any given time there are 3 times as many browsing guests as posting members.

Most are, apparently, finding what they need quickly and getting back to their busy daily lives.

The obvious choice would be the Memory Management thread in the How-To Forum.

I have no problem addressing the question here, as I noted, it is much more visible to our visitors.

Next time though, don't address it to a specific handle. I think that is the point others were trying to make.
