Just got the Blackberry Storm. Is there a way to enter my contacts via the desktop software and then sync them to the phone rather than using the small touch screen to enter 100 or so contacts? Thanks ahead of time for your help.

If you use outlook on your pc you can use desktop manager and setup the syncronization to do one way from outlook.
Thanks. I use Yahoo, but I think I can import my Yahoo contact list into Outlook and then sync it. Worth a shot.
Outlook or maybe google.

I believe with yahoo you can export as .csv then import to outlook. Ill look into it also.
Just checked and yes you can export to outlook. After you do that import to outlook. After that start desktop manager and go to synchronization. Then under configure hit synchronization again and follow the prompts to set it up to your liking. Hit finish and your contacts will go on your device.
Glad I joined this website. Thanks for all of the help.
Your welcome for the help. Glad you joined and welcome to CB.
Yahoo will sync directly into the Blackberry via DM4.6. I use it for contacts and calendar. Works to and from the device to your computer.
I got it done. While maybe not the most direct route, I exported my Yahoo contacts to MS Outlook and then synched the Blackberry Storm with Outlook. It worked like a charm.
Glad to hear it worked! Looks like we got a new solution to offer folks. :)
That'll be good for some folks to hear, anything that makes it easier to transfer contacts will make people happy.

You can export your contacts list to CSV. I cant remember the exact steps, but I believe you one-way synchronize via DM to CSV then one-way synchonize back.
