Question about a text message alert

How's it going crackberry users?

I have a weird problem going on with my phone at the moment. My BB Bold is showing that I have 1 new text message delivered to my phone. Problem is, I absolutely have no text messages in my list. I even tried deleting all my text messages and its still showing up with the notification on the top of my phone??? I've tried resetting and removing the battery, but no luck. Please help!

I've noticed that new text message that come through, the text message icon looks diagonal. The one that I can't get rid of is a straight rectangular text icon. Hope this makes sense.

Not sure how it is on the Bold, but could it be a voice mail? My voice mail goes into my SMS/MMS box.

I've just tried calling my voicemail and I have no new messages?

The angled one is SMS, the straight rectangle is a message. Email, PIN, Service Book update etc.

Go to the top of your SMS folder and mark prior read and do the same in your main messages folder and that should clear the new mail notification.
