I'm selling a Verizon Pearl on eBay and people keep sending me messages wanting to know the ESN on the phone. What,if any, is the danger in giving it out?

Thanks and if you are interested in the auction, let me know

People just want to call Verizon and make sure that the phone (ESN) has not been reported stolen, since if it has, Verizon will not activate the phone.

Thanks. Is there any chance of fraud associated with giving the number out? Also, if I were to give it out, which ESN would they need? There is two on the phone

i dont think there is much they can do fraudulently, but the esn they need is the esn dec. it's easier to deal with than the esn hex which is alpahanumeric.
