If the phone/experience outweighs cost, then don't even consider the Q10 because the Classic is essentially a Q10 and then some. Between the Classic and the Passport, you just need to choose either depending on the size. I think size is the most important thing to consider since they're such very different experiences. I have a Q10 now, and I just got my 10.3.1 update. I fell in love with my phone all over again, but ever since I got my Q10 last March I always missed my large screen on my Galaxy S3, and now that the Passport is out, I have found my solution. I will get a Passport. But if I didn't want a larger screen, then I would get a Classic next.

Yeah, the Q10 shouldn't be in that equation. The weight alone compared to my Classic - it feels like a toy

See I am just the opposite...I think it's silly to pay more for the Classic vs the Q unless you really want the trackpad. And personally I don't miss the trackpad nearly as much as I thought I would.

And I totally agree with you if the cost IS something that is influencing his decision. The Q10, especially with the 10.3.1 running on it, is wonderful and you can't beat it for how cheap it's going for these days.

It depends on what you want/need in a smartphone. They're all excellent devices with their own unique strengths and weaknesses.

Well I am currently on Q10 and just had the classic delivered today. So will start using it shortly. My consideration for Classic over the passport was essentially the size and one hand use. Cost was not the primary consideration. So it really is up to you. But yes I do agree with a lot of others here that you should not consider the Q10 really. Classic has a bigger screen and it just is that much new and feels good.

The Q10 has some upsides over the Classic. It is substantially smaller and neater. Also, it has a removable battery so you can carry a couple of spare batteries in your coat pocket and never have to worry about battery life.
