I searched crackberry up and down and did not find this answer...

Has anyone on here actually been to the Dominican Republic and actually purchased a prepaid data/voice plan sim card on Claro or Orange network???

From what i have been reading elsewhere (dr1.com) they only offer prepaid voice plans. All data plans must be purchased with an annual agreement.

I read on here that verizon offers an international data plan for $65 which i can start the day before i leave and discontinue when i return and will be pro-rated which will be my other option.

    Thank you

I'm a Claro customer, they only offer data plan with a long-term agreement (18 months minimum).
