    I've heard from my friends that it's possible to use Blackberry messenger on Nokia smartphones such as the Nokia E71.

    If it's possible could you explain how this is done?

    You can't use BBM on a Nokia device.

    BBM is for BlackBerry to BlackBerry communication. You would need BBConnect or VirtualBB to use on another device.

    And BBM uses the device PIN, which apart from BlackBerrys no other device has that, which renders BBM exclusively for BlackBerrys. Thus the name BlackBerry Messenger
